Last updated 2 years ago

This page is archived and no longer being updated with new character releases.

Here are some example cores with a variety of different characters.

Razor/Keqing + Cryo

**Primary Damage Type - **

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Make sure to regularly trigger **Superconduct **( + ) to reduce enemy RES for damage. The debuff lasts 12 seconds.

  • Diona and Qiqi are the preferred supports as they also fill in for you as a healer.

Eula/Rosaria/Kaeya + Electro

**Primary Damage Type - **

DPS
Supports
  • Make sure to regularly trigger **Superconduct **( + ) to reduce enemy RES for damage. The debuff lasts 8 seconds.

  • Adding a support is a nice way to add Freeze on this team for extra Crowd Control.

  • When using Eula, it is highly recommended to bring a Battery in another slot (e.g. Diona) due to her damage being very Burst dependent.

Bennet + Chongyun

**Primary Damage Type - **

DPS
Support
  • Even without a dedicated support build, Bennett's Elemental Burst should be enough healing to cover this team. You should not need a second healer.

  • Note: This comp no longer becomes functional with Bennett's C6.

Raiden + Xiangling (National)

DPS
Support
  • This core is centered around the several reactions. The majority of damage on this team comes from Xiangling's burst and Raiden's burst.

  • Because Raiden's burst recharges quickly, the DPS is centered around her burst window. Use **Bennet E and Xiangling E **for ult recharge, and have all your ults ready for Raiden burst window. Drop all bursts then Raiden's then auto attack with her in that time.

Pyro DPS + Hydro

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Xingqui works better with Normal Attack focused carries while Mona works better with Burst focused carries.

Mono-Pyro

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Strength in this team comes especially from Bennett's C6 and Xiangling's C6 (as well as Sucrose's C6 if you are using her) as these all buff Pyro damage even further.

  • Monopyro beats Vaporize with Main DPS characters who cannot efficiently proc Vaporize.

  • Using multiple Pyro characters allows Supports to be built on damage over ER.

Childe + Xiangling

DPS
Best Support/DPS
Other Supports

Childe + Cryo

DPS
Best Support
Other Supports

Childe Mono-Hydro

DPS
Best Support
Other Supports
  • You will often want to run some Pyro character like Xiangling to take advantage of the high Hydro application to create more damage or Bennett for healing and added damage.

Fischl/Beidou + Hydro

DPS
Best Support/DPS
Other Supports

Keqing + Hydro

DPS
Best Support
Good Supports

Ganyu + Xiangling

DPS
Main Support
Other Supports
  • **Kazuha **works as well to buff both the Cryo and Pyro Damage Components.

  • **Zhongli **or other shielders help keep Ganyu alive while doing charge shots.

Ganyu/Ayaka + Hydro

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Xingqiu can work for Ayaka but is not as ideal with Ganyu as it is hard to weave normal attacks into a charge attack sequence. In the same way, **Mona **is not as effective for hydro application if you are doing a lot of normal attacks with Ayaka. **Kokomi **adds comfort to the team and makes it easier to play.

Kaeya/Rosaria + Chongyun

DPS
Support
  • While Chongyun could be the DPS, he is generally not recommended because his claymore attacks will shatter frozen targets, which ultimately will lower your DPS.

Ningguang + Geo

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Usually you would want at least C1 on Ningguang before using this comp to help with AoE damage.

  • Gorou only becomes advantageous here at C6 as Ningguang does not benefit from Def buffs.

  • Zhongli allows Geo constructs like the shield and Albedo's flower to deal AOE damage.

Noelle/Itto + Geo

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Both Itto and Noelle have similar building styles so their teams are quite interchangeable.

  • Craftable claymore Whiteblind is very useable if you do not have access to a 5* weapon.

  • If using Itto, it may be more beneficial to use a healer instead of a 4th Geo character if you don't have C4+ Gorou.

Xiao + Anemo

DPS
Best Supports
Other Supports
  • Venti is no ideal for this as enemies caught in his Elemental Burst cannot be hit by Xiao.

Venti + Jean

DPS

This core is centered around the **Melt **( +) reaction. Use Chongyun's Elemental Skill to have **Bennett's attacks apply ** to an enemy before hitting it with Bennett's Elemental Skill/Burst.

**Primary Damage Type - **

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Vaporize **( +) reaction which multiplies Pyro Damage by 1.5. Applyto enemies and use a combination of skills and attacks from your DPS to trigger the reaction.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core around Pure Pyro Damage and Swirl Amplification (+** **). Apply to enemies and swirl those attacks to proc Viridescent Venerer's 4pc.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Vaporize **( +) reaction. Utilizes Xiangling's Elemental Skill/Burst hitting enemies affected by .

Tartaglia is the ideal character for this as his Elemental Skill Melee Stance is great at applyingon top of doing a good amount of damage.

Unlike the other core, **Xiangling's **basic attack is not. In order to property utilize this, she needs sufficient energy recharge to make sure her Elemental Burst is ready as much as possible. This often means running a second in a flex slot for resonance.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Freeze **( +) reaction. Apply to enemies and then use Childe's Elemental Skill Melee Stance to deal damage to enemies while frozen.

You will often want to run another character in a flex slot to have resonance.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the Hydro damage and Vaporize procs for added damage. Cycle Xingqui's and Yelan's bursts while using Childe in Melee stance to get high energy for all three character's bursts.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Electrocharged **(+) reaction. Use a combination of talents that apply both elements to enemies for damage.

Your characters will give most of the damage while off-field and another character is attacking and applying .

Tartaglia is the ideal character for this as his Elemental Skill Melee Stance is great at applyingon top of doing a good amount of damage. **Kokomi **works as well and allows easy gameplay.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Electrocharged **(+) reaction. Utilizes Keqing's **infusion **and strong Charged Attack.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Reverse Melt **( +) reaction. Use Xiangling's Elemental Skill/Burst to apply to an enemy and then hit them with a Full Charge Attack from Ganyu.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is centered around the **Freeze **( +) reaction. Apply to enemies and then use a combination of Ganyu's Charged Attacks and Elemental Burst or **Ayaka's Attacks **to deal damage to frozen enemies.

You will often want to run another character in a flex slot to have resonance. Diona in particular is an excellent choice as she also provides shields/heals and plenty of energy.

**Primary Damage Type - **

While this core does not inherently have a reaction, you should add additional supports such asfor Freeze and/or for Melt reactions.

**Primary Damage Type - **

Craftable catalyst options are not great so you may also want to avoid this core if you don't have a good weapon. Check the to see if you have access to one of her preferred weapons.

With two chars, shield breaking can be an issue on some floors. In particular, this core can't cover all required elements on Floor 7.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core is focused around Xiao's Elemental Burst and Plunge Attacks. Use your support to generate energy for Xiao when his Burst is on cooldown.

**Primary Damage Type - **

This core works by combining the high damage scaling of both **Jean **and Venti's Elemental Skills/Bursts, the cooldown reduction from resonance, and general high energy generation to continually output damage with their talents.
