Example Teams

This page has recently been changed to include some teams that are more viable for the recent abyss cycles. If you want to see other team examples for characters that were released in the past, visit More Example Teams.
These are just example teams and do not generalize to everyone's account (nor are they 1000% strategically optimal)! Make changes as you see fit with your account while keeping the team structures intact. Keep in mind though that not all substitutions are one-for-one and achieve the same effects.
And as always, a team is only as good as your skill in playing it. Refer to the links in Resources for more on this.
Primary Damage Type -
Investment Level: High
Best Suited for:
Humanoid battles
Comparatively lower DPS sides to keep your stronger teams for the other side
Characters Replacements:
DPS: Xinyan, Keqing
Supports: Beidou, Raiden, Ganyu, Kuki Shinobu, Shenhe
Shielder/Healer: Zhongli, Bennett (non-C6), Qiqi
Tips:
Do your research on these characters' rotations to optimize their damage:
Keep your shield/heals consistent as you can lose health quickly
Investment Level: Moderate - High
Best Suited for:
High Health, Low Enemy Count Floors
Enemies without corresponding elemental resonances
still usable if they do, just adjust rotations as needed
Characters Replacements:
This team depends heavily on each of its characters, so there are no replacements. Switching out Raiden for Chongyun or Kazuha/Sucrose are somewhat-viable variants.
Tips:
Focus on keeping all the ults recharged with sufficient ER.
Because Raiden's burst recharges quickly, the DPS is centered around her burst window. Use **Bennet E and Xiangling E **for ult recharge, and have all your ults ready for Raiden burst window. Drop all bursts then Raiden's then auto attack with her in that time.
Investment Level: Moderate - High
Best Suited for:
High Health, low Enemy Count Floors
Cryo Enemies
Characters Replacements:
DPS: Klee, Diluc, Bennett, Yoimiya
Hydro: Yelan (she may not be optimal for every Pryo carry)
Supports: Kazuha -> Sucrose, Jean (not optimal for Hu-Tao), Venti (lifting effect of ult can stunt damage). Amber, Zhongli + Albedo
Tips:
Keep Vaporize procs constant by ensuring Xingqui burst uptime
Proc VV/Swirl constantly to keep pyro buff up

High Health, low Enemy Count Floors
Flying or more stagnant enemies
Characters Replacements:
Ganyu/Xiangling: Not replaceable
Supports: Kazuha -> Sucrose, Jean, Venti. Kazuha/Bennett -> Zhongli/Albedo
Tips:
Try to stay close to the enemy so Xiangling's ults can hit
Similar to Vaporize team
Investment Level: Moderate - High
Best Suited for:
Very mobile enemies that can be held down with freeze
High quantity of enemies
Characters Replacements:
**Avoid characters that will proc shatter (Claymores and Geo)
DPS: Kaeya
Supports: Xingqui, Yelan, Mona, Shenhe, Sucrose, Kazuha, Jean

Keep hydro application up to ensure that freeze holds
Proc Swirl/VV consistently to maintain the buff
Investment Level: Moderate - High

More stagnant enemies
Enemies with lots of elemental resonances

DPS: Itto -> Noelle
